Square Enix Stocks Soar After Final Fantasy VII Remake Announcement

Final Fantasy VII's remake announcement was a big deal. You could say that it was single-handedly the best thing that Sony could have shown at its E3 press conference and the best game that Square Enix could have decided to make.

The announcement has resonated very well. So well, in-fact, that Square Enix Holdings has experienced a surge in stock value. While prior to the press conference stocks were valued at around 2870, they found themselves at just under 3000 moments later. See for yourself:

This increase in stock value comes off the heels of a great year for Square Enix, one where it has shown games that gamers are looking forward to such as Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward, and Final Fantasy XV.

If you haven't already, be sure to check out the Final Fantasy VII remake CGI trailer. It doesn't show much, but if you're a fan of the original like I am, you just might find yourself with goose bumps.
