The Nathan Drake Collection Is Fixing Uncharted 1

Apart from the obvious graphical enhancements, Uncharted 1 will be receiving several notable gameplay tweaks once Bluepoint Games finishes the upcoming port collection of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. So says Kotaku, at least.

The first Uncharted will get rid of the awkward balancing act where players need to use the PS3's Sixaxis controller to balance Drake properly on logs. Grenades also no longer need to be thrown using the Sixaxis controls, though you can turn them back on if you prefer.

As for the criticism that the swarm of enemies in Uncharted were like a horde of cover-loving bullet sponges, the development team will be tweaking the variables around so that the gunplay feels more balanced across all three titles. That will be pivotal when Bluepoint adds yet another step in difficulty that will be available for all three titles.

This collection, releasing on October 9 on PS4, will be bundling the first three Uncharted titles and ensure that all of them will be running in 1080p at 60 fames per second. Character models, lighting, shadows, and draw distance will be enhanced, and they're enticing fans to try the collection by sneaking in an invite to the Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta. There are no plans of bundling The Golden Abyss in the collection.
