Nintendo Directs Aren’t Going Away

Nintendo Directs have been a great way to learn about the company's upcoming projects, and former CEO and President Satoru Iwata's role as host was a constant highlight. Despite his recent passing, Nintendo plans to continue with the videos.

Earlier today Nintendo told IGN that the video series will continue in the future.

“Nintendo Directs will continue, but we have no details to provide now on who will be featured or the topics that will be covered," the statement explains.

Iwata passed away back in July, and Nintendo recently named former Nintendo of America Preisdent Tatsumi Kimishima as his successor. It's unknown whether Kimishima will host Nintendo Directs like Iwata. He doesn't have the most welcoming expression, but we all know looks can be deceiving.

As great as Iwata was in Nintendo Direct videos, it's good to hear that the company plans to move forward and make more of them. Despite Nintendo's frequent missteps, things like Nintendo Direct show that the company still knows how to come up with great ideas.
