It's been more than three years since Gears of War's founder and creator Cliff Bleszinski left Epic Games.
Now that his new title LawBreakers is making waves, Simon Miller at Videogamer took that chance to ask Bleszinski on how it feels to look back on the Gears of War franchise and see Gears of War 4 coming together without him:
It's kind of like breaking up with an ex and wanting to see them get re-married, but not to somebody who is better-looking than you.
As for Gears of War 4, Bleszinski cautiously hopes that Microsoft and The Coalition, now led by producer Rod Fergusson, "don't screw it up."
Gears of War releases on October 11, 2016, and players can enter gain four days of early access by purchasing the $100 Ultimate Edition. The multiplayer open beta for Gears of War 4 is already on the way and ends until May 1. You can check out our impressions from Blake Peterson and James Kozanitis.
