Everyone wanted to be a Rocket League pro? It's all about practice, and while right now the only effective way to get better is to dive face first into online multiplayer, soon you will have a second option.
Rocket League will soon receive an update that will add a new Custom Training mode to the menu. When players head into this mode, they will be able to practice using custom parameters.
First, you will be asked the following questions:
- A name for your creation.
- Which map you want to train in.
- What type of training sequence it is (Striker or Goalie).
- How difficult it’s going to be (Rookie, Pro, All-Star).
- Which “tags” best describe your training sequence (Dribbling, Wall Shots, etc.)
Using this, you will then be able to define a sequence where the ball is moving in a pre-defined trajectory. You can then try to hit the ball into the goal, and rewind to retry as often as you desire.
Made better, you can share your custom shot with others. It is expected that these will turn into a challenge mode of sorts, where players are able to perform wild stunts after the quick setup or download of a module. There are no rewards for being successful, for now, but at the very least your muscle dexterity will get a good working.
This update is expected to debut before the end of the year.
