Shenmue 3 Gets Progress Update and New Screenshots

Shenmue 3 is still well into development, anticipated to release on-schedule roughly a year from now. As part of its communicative creation process, Ys Net has opened up with some new information.

Among the news is that the PC version of Shenmue 3 is now available for pre-order. This is only possible through the official website, which currently lists its crowdfunding total at over $6.6 million.

Yu Suzuki also commented on the status of Shenmue 3, stating:

 

I have been completely absorbed in development Shenmue III recently, and often stay at the studio throughout the night to make it the best game possible. My life has become Shenmue both day and night, and I’m happy.

Perhaps most importantly, there are three new in-game screenshots for you to look at. These show off the game's night time graphics, combat, as well as a mini-game that Shenmue fans might find familiar.



Shenmue 3 currently has a December 2017 release window.
