The rumors are true! Destiny 2 will release on PC. Minutes before the trailer above was slated to go live, the pre-order page for Destiny 2 on the game's official website went live. While there are lots of editions you can pre-order, there is an option for PC under the platform selection dropdown menu, confirming that the sequel to the popular console-only shooter will finally be joining the ranks of PC games.
Pre-orders are live for PS4, Xbox One, but, at the moment, you cannot pre-order Destiny 2 on PC. We've reached out to Bungie to see why this is and will update as soon as we get a response. The game will officially release on Sept. 8, 2017, according to the trailer, and purchase options include a collector's edition, a limited edition, a digital deluxe edition and an expansion pass.
The collector's edition will include a high-quality bag than can be used as a backpack or a messenger bag, as well as all lesser edition bonuses. The limited edition will net you a steelbook copy and a collector's box, and all lesser edition bonuses. The digital deluxe version will give you bonus in-game items and lesser edition bonuses, which is only the expansion pass, which will bring new story missions, co-op multiplayer and in-game items such as weapons and gear.
Also, pre-odering any edition of the game will grant you early beta access.
