To provoke interest in Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning's demo, which will launch January 17 for Xbox 360 and PS3, Electronic Arts and BioWare will be rewarding early goers with special unlock items in Reckoning as well as Mass Effect 3.
By playing both demos for Reckoning and Mass Effect 3, players will earn "Omni-blade daggers in Reckoning and Reckoning-themed armor and assault rifle in Mass Effect 3 designed by award-winning artist Todd McFarlane". Co-founder of BioWare Dr. Ray Muzyka is excited for this cross-promotion:

Completing the Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning demo will net the ME3 items Reckoning Knight Armor, which boosts close-quarters combat, and the Chakram Launcher, which shoots ammunition discs that Xena The Warrior Princess would be proud of. Playing the Mass Effect 3 demo will earn players the Reckoning items N7 Armor and Omni-blade Daggers.
Hopefully, this means that the Mass Effect 3 demo will be arriving before Reckoning's February 7th release date.
