Nintendo Rejects The Binding of Issac For “Questionable Religious Content”

Edmund McMillen has sent the above two tweets regarding Big N's rejection of The Binding of Isaac, which is already available on Steam since September 28, 2011. Sure, it may not be a great title, but why the rejection for "questionable religious content"? A Mature rating does exist, Nintendo. So do parental controls.

It's not that surprising, though, to see Nintendo make a decision based on not wanting to ruffle the feathers of some religious affiliation. I mean, the game is about a naked kid fighting demons with blood, urine, and excrement. That also goes for his abusive religious mother… and giant vaginas.

Understandably, it's the kind of target that the family-friendly Nintendo doesn't want for fear of bad press. Censorship and money, how are you?
