PSP Titles Removed From PSN Due To Homebrew Hack

That didn't take long for Vita hackers to ruin things for the rest of world as they worm into news headlines. According to Homebrewer W.Ololo, a few hackers have been using the digital versions of a couple of PSP games—Everybody's Tennis and MotorStorm: Arctic Edge—to get the Vita to play homebrew games. The homebrew community is quick to point out, however, that this hack doesn't unlock the possibility for playing pirated games or unlock the full capabiities of the handheld.

It does not matter to Sony, however. They have taken down the PSP titles in what seems to be either an investigation into the matter or a first step into developing a method to prevent this in the future.

Whether or not this is a legal work around for the homebrew community, the message from Sony is rather loud and clear: They are far more on top of hacking attempts than ever.
