Rumor: $100 Subsidized 360 Kinect Bundle Arriving Next Week

Looking to get an Xbox 360 and Kinect, but don't want to shell out the $300+ it will cost you to pick up the console and its motion sensing camera? Well according to a recent rumor from The Verge, you may not have to, as Microsoft is allegedly planning to sell the console for $100 alongside a two-year contract agreement.

This 24-month subscription service will require a monthly payment of $15 and will include a Kinect (obviously), Xbox Live Gold, a two-year warranty and an undisclosed amount of streamable content. If the rumor bears any weight, we'll likely see this bundle hit retailers starting next week.

Of course, those pesky termination fees are also part of the contract, deterring customers from canceling their subscription. Those who elect to go with this rumored bundle and all of its offerings will end up paying $460 when everything is said and done. So when you do the math, it's not saving you an exorbitant sum of cash, but at least the price of entry has been lowered.
