David Jaffe is one humorous fellow, even when delivering the unfortunate news that there's basically no chance whatsoever that Twisted Metal fans will be getting downloadable content. The game designer put it rather bluntly, by saying, "If anyone's holding their breath for DLC for Twisted, I don't think that's a wise health choice."
In a recent interview, Jaffe elaborated on the relatively nonexistent chance of DLC coming to the game, telling IGN: "No one has asked me [about working on DLC]. I don't know what Eat Sleep Play is working on other than I'm pretty sure they're not working on DLC for Twisted Metal. My understanding is that there is no plan for DLC for Twisted Metal, and I don't see that changing in the foreseeable future."
This of course comes following the news that Jaffe has officially left Twisted developer Eat Sleep Play to move on to other pursuits within the industry. I don't know about you, but I'm willing to bet that his departure and the lack of DLC is no coincidence.
