Please note: Many of the following cheats involve editing .ini files. We advise making a copy of the original file before altering anything in case you screw up.

Cheats:

To use the following cheats, you must alter the starting command line. The simplest way to do this is to right-click on the desktop shortcut to the game, select ‘properties’ and and change the line in the ‘target’ box. It should initially read something like C:program filesNeed For Speed Hot Pursuit 2NfsHS.exe. Now add one of the follwing cheats to the end of that line and select ‘apply’, then double click on the shortcut to start the game.

For example, to enable the ‘ghost’ cheat, change the line to C:program filesNeed For Speed Hot Pursuit 2NfsHS.exe +ghost

+ghost            Invisible to others

+opentree         Enter locked events in event trees

+nofrustration    Disables annoying confirmations

+nomovie          Disables movie demos

+nomusic          Turn music off

+nosnd            Turn off sound FX

+noreverb         Turn off reverbration

+nofrontend       Turn off onscreen display

+nomipmap         Disables mipmapping

+noparticles      Disables particle animations

+minfront         Turns on VERY stupid main menu

+helicoptersOnly  Cops only use helicopters

+screenshots      Enable screenshots

Cheap cars:

Use a text editor to edit the cars.ini file in the cars sub-folder in the game directory. Change the values after the "price=" and "nfsprice=" lines to a low number like 10.

Cheap tracks:

Use a text editor to edit the tracks.ini file in the tracks sub-folder in the game directory. Change the value of the "m_price[0]" line so that it reads sinething like m_price[0]=10.

Faster cars:

Use a text editor to edit the cars.ini file in the cars sub-folder in the game directory. Change the "mass=" value to 100 for a faster car.

Porsche 911 Turbo:

Get 800,000 points.

Dodge Viper GTS:

Get 2 million points.

Lamborgini Diablo 6.0 VT:

Get 2.5 million points.

Lamborghini Murcielago:

Get 3 million points.

McLaren F1:

Get 4 million points.

Mercedes CLK GTR:

Get 4.5 million points.

McLaren F1 LM:

Get 5 million points or win the World Championship.

Roadblock Size:

If you want that the spikestrip size is smaller then usually, then following the following tips: – go to this file, [b]c:Program FilesEA GamesNeed For Speed poursuite infernale 2[/b] – click on AI – click on AIChaseDefs – search the name [roadblock] – then search the ‘spikestripSize’ then change the number of the size (usually it’s 1.2)
