Ever since the EA Store changed to the Origin service, many EA titles have been stricken from Steam like Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age II, and Crysis 2. But it seem as though Electronic Arts has found a roundabout way to have Steam accept their titles once more.
Cue Crysis 2 Maximum Edition, a bundle that includes four limited edition unlocks (Bonus XP, Scar Weapon Skin, Weapon Attachment, and Unique Platinum Dog Tag) as well as the Retaliation and Decimation packs. That means nine additional mulitplayer maps for all modes, plus the FY71 Assault Rifle and M18 Smoke Grenade.
If you've purchased Crysis 2 before it was pulled from Steam, you can upgrade to the Maximum Edition for 50% off the $39.99 price tag before June 12, 10AM PST.
So can we expect "Maximum Ediitons" of those other EA titles on Steam? Quite possibly.
