Rest easy, everyone…THQ's problems have not affected Crytek's development of Homefront 2. I know everyone has been concerned about this sequel, but the developer wants to put everyone's fears at rest.
Crytek's Cevat Yeril has gone on to say that there has been "pretty much zero" change in the game's progress during THQ's financial crisis. "There's been no tangible change whatsoever," Yeril said. "There have been a few meetings and the introduction of people and those meetings are always very transparent."
He goes on to say, "To be fair, the way we're developing Homefront 2 is very isolated anyway. We're treating it as our own new IP and at the same time, THQ is respecting us and saying, 'You guys know what you're doing' and telling us the story they'd like to have, which we're collaborating creatively on."
I don't know about you, but I'm incredibly relieved and I'll be able to sleep more easily tonight.
