Modders Revamp The World Of Morrowind With Skyrim Engine, Others Transform Guild Wars 2 Into A Shooter

Welcome to Skywind, a mod created by Elder Scrolls loyalists who decided to transform the landscape of the now severely outdated last-gen RPG Morrowind into a shiny new world using the Skyrim engine. It looks absolutely stunning, as is evidenced by the images below (via PC Gamer).

Interestingly enough, this isn't the first time this group of modders has pulled something like this together, as they're also responsible for the creation of Morroblivion, which is a recreation of Morrowind using the Oblivion engine. For more information on either project, you can check out the Morroblivion forums.

But that's not all, as a different group of talented modders have begun retooling Guild Wars 2 to make it a third-person shooter. You heard me correctly, a third-person shooter. Crazy, right? See pvpPROJECT's "Combat Mode" mod in action below (via Gameranx).

Unfortunately, ArenaNet isn't particularly fond of the mod, noting on the game's official forums that "the use of third-party software is not allowed in Guild Wars 2." Bummer, but you've got to applaud them for at least trying, right?
