The H1Z1 1.17 update has graced us with its presence on PS4, and with it comes a whole host of changes that may just make you alter your play style a little. There’s new weapon skins, a defensive throwable weapon, plus fixes to broken challenges. Daybreak Game Company has also addressed a grenade bug that has cropped up as a result of the H1Z1 1.17 update. The full list of patch notes, should you want to pore over them in painstaking detail, are also below.
H1Z1 1.17: What Has Changed on PS4?
For an update that doesn’t technically count as a full, game-changing update (hence the .17), the H1Z1 1.17 update actually shuffles things about quite considerably. The big news is that EMP grenades can now be found in crates and on the ground, should you want to mess around with your fellow participants’ weapons. It could just be the difference between life and death.
Elsewhere, the red dot sights have been cleaned up to allow for better precision when using rifles, and there’s even an option for players to drop ammo that they don’t intend to use, which is an inventory-saver, to be sure.
H1Z1 1.17: How to Fix The Grenade Bug
It’s not all (undead) roses and lollipops, however. The developers revealed on Reddit that “some players may run into an additional case where throwing a grenade will prevent them from using or firing their weapon – when this occurs, players should toggle weapons to resume normal play.”
So, if you do come into contact with the grenade bug post-1.17, be sure to tap L1 to provide a temporary fix to the situation.
