Microsoft's new application, Xbox SmartGlass launches alongside Windows 8 on October 26th. As described by the one, the only, Major Nelson, "SmartGlass will be a free downloadable app that takes your Windows 8 tablets and PCs, Windows Phone 8, iOS and Android devices, and converts them into a smart second screen for the entertainment you are enjoying through your Xbox."
Ironically enough, Xbox SmartGlass doesn't support Windows Phone 7, so those of you with an "outdated" Microsoft phone will either have to upgrade to a Windows 8 device (have fun shelling out the $500+ for a tablet or paying that early phone upgrade fee) or go with a non-Microsoft (iOS or Android-based) product. I find that a bit odd, don't you?
