Games like Super Bomberman R have arrived initially exclusively for Nintendo Switch before coming to other platforms later on. The same could certainly happen with Octopath Traveler in the future. But will it really happen? Let’s dive deep into whether or not it will come to PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and figure it out.
Octopath Traveler PC, PS4, and Xbox One Release Date
What is the Octopath Traveler release date for PC, PS4, and Xbox One? Before we get to that, let’s note when it is coming to Nintendo Switch first and foremost. It will be arriving for the portable console hybrid on July 13th, 2018. That is only a few weeks away from us posting this.
Will Octopath Traveler come to PC, PS4, and Xbox One after the Nintendo Switch version releases? We technically have no guarantee that it will ever come to other platforms but we can certainly speculate. It is our personal opinion that it won’t ever come to other platforms and there are a few reasons why.
Most likely, Nintendo has potentially paid good money to keep Octopath Traveler a permanent exclusive. More importantly, though, the division of Square Enix that is developing the game is focused on only working on Nintendo Switch titles for the foreseeable future. Also, this game is coming from the same minds behind the Bravely Default series, a noteworthy JRPG series that is only ever been on the Switch’s predecessor, 3DS. So, we don’t see it happening any time soon.
