The reason I've written this guide is because those of you who have played the
game (and reading this) will know how confusing some missions and achievements
are so this has been written to clear a few grey areas up.

Written by the Rebirth. Ironically I came across this after I'd got to stage 11
oh well my version clears a few thing up anyway and includes the Downloadable 
content.

Stages 								[isg]

Each stage consists of 1 Main objective, which is normally marked by a red 
mission marker on your hud and several sub objectives. The main objectives 
consist of the following missions.

Destroy all targets.
Destroy enemy fleet.

Protect the (insert ship name here).
or just keep fighting until the mission finishes.

The sub objectives are secret in each stages but after a while you can start 
to have a good guess what they'll be. sub objectives consists manly of the 
Following.

Shoot down all enemies.
Shoot down all enemies in a short time.

Shoot down enemy fighters (shown with a yellow marker e.g. the hellfires).
Shoot down enemy fighters in a short time.

All ships survive.
All escorts destroyers survive.
Flag ship takes no damage.

and there are various others throughout the game some are required to get medals
and others are just there so you can give yourself a pat on the back.

A few things that might help you to get some of the harder achievements

All achievements can be done on easy mode (unless otherwise stated).

Some achievements will require better weapons to obtain to wait for the 
Second play through.

Leave about 5 mission targets (or 2 warship targets) until there are no other
Enemies to destroy this will make it easier in getting some sub objectives 
as well as helping to rack up your warplane count.

Choose a missile system with a large number of lock on over range and power.

If new enemies appear on the radar it is easier to kill them while they are
still information it’s even possible to take them all out (9-12) with one round
of missiles

Listen to the radio messages for important mission information such as when 
Raymond is in trouble

Don't Worry about friendly fire I recommend telling your wingman to break way 
ASAP to avoid hitting her with a few nukes

Fighting the Night Ravens is easier than it looks there’s a trick when on a one
on one with the main mission target wait for him to charge you and fire a few 
Anti war ship missiles at him one will hit and kill him fastest time I've killed
him was about 6 seconds.

Turn Auto save off and save on a different slot for each level if you want all
the mission achievements without having to play through again.

   (Just kill off all the turrets just before you blow up the missile)

9. Destroy all enemy Cruise missiles 
   (Red marks you need to be quick for some of these)

Walkthrough

Mission Part 1

Just take the the Enemy Cyclops that are dead ahead. Then carry on into the
fleet and try and take out as many destroyers as possible don't worry about
the crusiers unless you're confident you can sink them. Then just clear out
the rest of the mission targets until the checkpoint.

Mission Part 2

Don't both with the figthers around the Crusier just fire a fire rockets
then move into the fleet then just take out as many destroyer you can 
without dying once done move onto the figthers until the mission check
point. note there will also be a yellow marker on this mission this
is a destroyer that needs saving, its not important but its there if you
want to help. (if you do you get a few more arrowheads to help you).

part 3

This part is easy just survive and whenever a Cruise missile jumps out
blow it up simple. Note: shooting all the missiles down before they hit
the base will hook you the medal and the Achievement. in between each 
set of missiles you can do what you want so go kill some figthers or
warships but more importantly have fun :D

 	                    Schlos Base Defence Award

Awarded for stopping enemy attacks on Schlos Base.

You will need to stop all the Cruise missiles to acquire this achievement
Also note you need to shoot down the destroyer targeting the Acropolis as well 
as some of the other Warships.

Note part 3 you just need to kill the leader of the Night Ravens

   (Just destroy them until it pops up, you don't need to kill all of them)

2. The Ally Destroyer Survives

4. Destroy both destroyers 
   (The first one is in front of you the second one it 70 unit away but
   Its in the cargo ships way so kill it when its gets closer)

5. All 3 cargo ships Survive 
   (Warning cargo ship 3 will die very quickly if you don't protect it so just 
   Protect cargo ship 3 and kill and fighters that are closing in while they 
   Are still in formation)

Mission part 3

6. Destroy the Elan Fighters in a short time
   (They come from the left as you start the mission don't worry about them 
   until they get closer)

7. Destroy All enemies 
   (Just kill off the first mission target then kill everything else until 
   There’s just the mission target left)
  
8. Destroy both enemy aces 
   (Kill the first mission target straight away then the second will appear)

9. All Transport Survived
   (This is easy just kill everything these ones don't seem to die)

Walkthrough
--------------

Mission Part 1

First take out those enemy warships these can be a pain if you don't. Next
just take out all the mission targets and any other targets you lock onto
Tip: when new enemies appear attack them while they are still in formation
this will allow you to take out most of them without even breaking into 
a sweat.

Mission Part 2

First all Take out that Destroyer this will sink lady 3 if you don't. 
Note: theres also another destroyer 74.0 units away but leave this for now.
now quickly take out as many figthers as you can in the area before the 
attackers arrive. The attackers (cyclops) will come from cargos ships
left side take them out while they are in formation. After this keep 
taking out the enemies near the cargo ship. Most importantly if you
want the achievement you will need to protect lady 3 more than the others
because this one seems to sink very quickly. 

other tips for this listen carfully to the radio message and try and take 
out the attackers before they reach the cargo ships. 

When you reach about half way (radio message will tell you this) the second
destroyer shold be about 30 away once this reaches about 20 go take it out
otherwise this will sink lady 1

just keep this up until they escape. Good luck this mission is hard first
time round on any setting.

if lady 3 is sunk don't panic just go for the achievement on the second
playthrough when you've got some better weapons.

part 3

now this can be hard and easy.

The easy method is wait for about 3 mins thne take out the mission target
this you only need to take out one enemy ace.

the harder way is to take out the mission target (once it appears) and then
take out the second one right after, which can be hard.

note if you almost kill the first mission target he might retreat which
means you have to fight both of them without getting the sub Objective...

Awarded for escorting the 7 refugee ships to safety.

Just like it says makes sure no cargo ships are sunk.

pervious mission. remember if you do it quick you will need to take down the 
second Ace so this ones yor call.

Awarded for bravery beyond the call of duty to escort allied vessels to safety.

Just complete the level I don't think you need a certain rank for this...

Mission Part 1

This mission takes a while basically its the same as the cargo ships but easier
just keep shooting down anything you lock on to until there all gone. remember
take them out when in formation for quick kills.

Mission Part 2

Take out those destroyers before they do some seroius damage. next just take 
out the figthers just like in part 1. Best thing to do is to take the figthers
that a far out and let bird flight kill the ones closer.
-----------------------------Achievement Unlocked 40G---------------------------

                                TCAF Mars Medal

Awarded for bravery beyond the call of duty under fierce enemy attacks. 

You will need to get an S rank in this mission for this achievement. This can 
be done either easy and you require all sub objectives and finish the mission 
quickly. or you can do it on hard and you probably get it by just doing the 
mission at a steady pace.

Mission Part 1

Just take out the missions target don't worry about the other ones they'll just
fly past you anyway.

when the hellfires show up its up to you if you want to kill them but you can
just leave them and kill the mission targets for a quick win. If you do go 
after the hellfires thy can be a pain there just like figthing the night
raven aces just a bit easier.

Mission Part 2

This is hard you need to take out the enemy fleet and all the figthers within
the time limit. ok as before just go after the fleet right off then take out
the figthers. Note: keep an eye on your armour and shield if you're not
careful you can die here in seconds. Note 2: theres a tanker as well as the
carrier on this so use both for a restock and repair. One good thing about
this part is Yoji pops in and protects the Actopolis for you and he's good
so just let me do that and help him whenever near.

Mission Part 3

Go for the Battleship first these things might be big but they sink pretty
quick just think of them as 2 cruiser stuck together and trust me there
are bigger things to kill later. To take down the Battleship a Charged
Y attack (to level 1) should do it if not 2 of them will. as soon as thats
sunk take out the other ships. BUT before you kill the last one go save
raymond he should be flying around somewhere near you (do this only
if you need the achievement)




-----------------------------Achievement Unlocked 50G---------------------------

                              Soldier's Charm Amulet

Given to you by Raymond as a token of his trust.

ok this one is easy to get you just need to wait until Raymond get shot and
complains about it. After this find him (he's normally in-between the 2 fleets)
and shoot down everything near him. There will be allot of enemies after him so 
just keep sinking warplanes until he thanks you.

Word of warning stay away from Raymond until he gets shot I've managed to 
the whole mission without him being hit by total accident.

Mission Part 1

Oh hello Yoji the good pilot is not rhino 4 bonus.

ok once again go for the fleet taking out and figthers on the way the quicker
you take out the carriers and the destroyers the better once the fleet has be
flattened start taking out the figthers. You don't need to worry about
protecting anything but watch out for Anti aircraft fire because this stuff is
deadly on this stage. 

once again those damn Hellfires will shown up lead by the even more annoying
wayne once again its up to you if you want to kill them my advice is forget them

Mission Part 2

Survival mission YAY! ok now just work from left to right and take them out one
by one (don't worry about the figthers).

At some point in the mission you will hear radio messages about being flanked
don't worry about them until you go a restock you will see a few ships floating
around the acroplics just shoot the down (theres a few carriers and destroyers
i think). Note there are a few battleships in here as well just be careful near
them.

Just keep this up until either you kill everything or the mission ends

			       White Griffons Patch

Awarded to the commander and pilots of the White Griffon Squadron when it is 
formed.

you get this at the end of the level nothing is required to achieve it

   (just leave a few mines at the end then clear everything else out.

7. Allied cruiser took no damage 
   (same as before just ignore it)

Mission Part 1

I hate this mission just blow up the mines don't bother with the figthers

you might even finsih this section before the Guilty roses appear. but if you
do fight them these are evil you need to fire a few rockets at them while 
they're still in formation then use missiles to finish them off. so aim 
carefully

Mission Part 2

Another easy section just take out the mission targets for a quick win you 
don't need to worry about the figthers on this so enjoy the easy ride the
next mission is much harder.



-----------------------------Achievement Unlocked 30G---------------------------

                               TCAF Jupiter Medal

Awarded for bravery beyond the call of duty during withdrawal of the allied 
fleet.

To get this it has been said you need to get an S rank but I managed to get this
with an A rank I think you just need to beat the mission in a fast time. I did 
this on easy so try it a few times if you don't get it

Mission Part 1

Another simple part of a mission just kill everything. The only thing you need
to watch out for are the AA Frigates but once there gone this is easy.

near the end you will meat a new Attack type called Gargantua these can be a 
pest because they are quicker than the cylops and they can dodge missiles better
oh well more fun then.

Mission Part 2

First as always take out the warships once these are gone just kill whatevers
left you don't need to kill all the mission targets this time you just need
to survive you'll see why in part 3. ok Now its the Guiliy Roses again. 
just use the same tactic as before (the seem to be harder to kill this time)
and good luck.

If that tactic doesn't work there is this tactic wait until they're on top 
of you now double tap RT and speed away from them (About 5.0-7.0) do a
quick flip and unload a few missiles into them while flying back through
them. this should kill them pretty quickly.

Mission Part 3

Now the fun begins take out the Warships just to the left of the terraforming
unit. Note: theres a battleship in there as well along with a carrier. 
Note 2: after sinking these ships restock and go behind the terraforming unit
you will find another fleet hiding here sink these (if you have managed to
survive the whole mission without dying once you will net an achievement by
sinking all the warships thoughout this stage approx 25). another important
thing to remember is you can't aim at this hidden fleet yet but as soon as 
you hit one of them you can aim at them. 

after sinking these your fleet should start running away now you just need to
protect and survive (more survive really)



-----------------------------Achievement Unlocked 40G---------------------------

                              Furious Pursuit Badge

Awarded for diligently shooting down large numbers of enemy ships.

ok this achievement is a hard one you will need to shoot down 25 Warships and 
120 warplanes (might be less but this is what I got it on) and the rank isn't
important I got it with an A rank. So for this, just shoot everything down until
you get to part 3 then go for the Warships first on the left (don't forget the
AA frigits) go restock then fly behind the terraforming unit to find another 4
warships sink these then go and kill everything else and you should get it. 

a word of warning be careful near the warships if you die here you will need to 
start again from part 1.

Mission Part 1

The same as with the guilty roses fly through them firing missiles then quick 
flip and repeat. Using this method you'll take out Margras without even
thinking.



-----------------------------Achievement Unlocked 30G---------------------------

	                   Solo Aerospace Combat Award

Awarded for descending into the atmosphere and engaging in combat alone.

This is an easy one the trick to this will be to fly through them so that they

Head for the Super Battleship this is your first target it location should be
right in front of you about. Once you've taken this out focus on the other 
battleships (one's near the Acropolis) don't forget to take out any figthers
along the way. After this just keep restocking and taking out the warships and 
figthers until you get a mission update.

Mission Part 2

ITs time to meet the hardest normal enemies in the game they can be harder to 
then the night ravens. The best thing to do here is to just ignore everything
and take out the two super battleships and missions complete.

thing around the core or the defence weapons wings. and have fun

to a select few so head over to the hanger before you fly off.

Now I like this Level and I wish there were one of these in the actual game. ok
well basically the mission is to protect the good old Acropolis and destroy all
the enemy fighters in the given time.

ok sounds east but there’s a catch you are blind!! yes that’s right you're 
flying in a giant dust cloud in space so you can't see a thing... ok you have 
night vision but still. if that wasn't enough they're enemy carriers floating 
around and your radar is next to useless in the clouds so you need to hunt them 
out by the direction of the fighters.

Ok i'm yet to complete this myself my current tactics don't seem to work on
this level. Basically there just too many things to kill and you havn't got
enough fire power to take it all down. well the main problem lies with keeping
the Acropolis alive i seem to get to about the 5th Superbattle ship then boom 
game over. 

ok my best advice for this is to protect the Acropolis at all cost try to take
out any warships near by and take out any figthers as well and most importantly
good luck.

the same as above but this will require about 7-10 flythrough to achieve this.

to acquire this quickly you will need a missile system with a large amount of 
lock on's and you will need to take out everything on each level by doing this 
you can get almost 2000 warplanes per play through. Stage 15 is a good level 
for this because the Phantoms just keep coming so if you leave the last Super 
Battleship you can keep killing phantoms until your allies sink it.

need to do 1 Gigaton is 1000 Megatons, which is 100,000 Kilotons, which is 
1,000,000,000 tons ok now you understand that 1 Warplane is about 30 tons. 
each destroyer. is about 10 kilotons and each Super Battleship is about a 
Megaton.

ok now that you can picture that this will take about 12 flythrough and sinking 
EVERY Warship. at the time of writing this I had 600 Mega tons and I was at the 
end of the 8th play through. yea this was is for when you’re bored.

the next mission first.

some weapons cannot be brought but won instead I don't know what unlocks 
what but after playing through on hard mode it unlocked everything...

Next you need to get all the other achievements and then after you pass out 
from boredom you get it.

One thing I like about this game is the vast amount of weapons you can use
and the fact there are many great combinations you can use to get the job
done. But the best part about it is after you find just 2 weapons you like
theres really no reason to change them if you don't want to.

useful if used in skilled hands for taking out the figther with 25% health. Some
Things to remember with guns is that they take time to hit the enemy so you need
to learn how to use the preditive path. Also remember than Guns are weak, have
a short range and eat up alot of Ammo fast my best advice is to try all of them
to see which fits your style best and if this isn't your thing theres always 
laser and beam weapons. Also note that Gun type weapons Mount on the nose of 
the ship, well with one execption (Flail GP37)

Basically the Spear HBP but everything is improved. its moves up to the Heavy
class there for it moves to the lower mount point. This weapon would be useful
but due to its stupid cost you'll have weapons alot better than this by the 
time you get it. but if you want to use another weapon that mounts to the Fore
then this weapon will certainly fill the gap.

This ones a werid on and I personnaly don't like it. This weapon pack a hell
of a punch and has perfect range but it take a moment to charge and to use it
on warships you need to take out the shield gens first. so if you like it use it
if not then don't.

It just wouldn't be the future without the the laser weapons now would it. ok
well this weapons are just like the machine gun weapons apart form they
overheat. The best thing about these are you don't need to aim infront of the 
enemy to hit them you just aim at them because its a light based weapon it
basically an instant hit.

This is a good weapon can take out enemy figther quite quickly with this. but

The classic weapon and certainly the best for taking out a larger number of 
enemies in a very short time. This class Doesn't vary much in the damage 
department and there all pretty weak, which means on the harder setting you'll
need to hit the target with a fair few number of these to kill them.

So for this class I recommend the ones with the highest lock on count for max
damage.

A very useful weapon early in the game with its 12 lock ons and its speed it
makes it useful for taking out enemies on formation quickly. Its a bit weak and
its reload time isn't great but give it a try.

This is an intresting weapon it as an A range and its stronger than the Buzzard
but its heavier than the Buzzard and has less ammo and lock on's I honestly
I can't see the advantage of this. But if you prefer Range over power and lock
on's go for it. But I suppose this does mount at the Rear but its not a very
good anti ship weapon.

Now I found thie useful when used with the Eagle 120AM but you lose your lower
mount point for this. its has a massive 40 lock on's and a 1000 ammo capacity 
with the same range and power as the eagle. The trick to using this is to either
have this and have a cannon type weapon at the fore or just this with the eagle
by firing the eagles 16 missiles then switch weapon then fire Thrush's missiles
makes for a quick body count.

Now this is my choice of weapon for sinking ships the Cauldron 50 is my favorite
but the other do a good job as well. The damage class on these are reasonabe 
even though some say D the fact they explode and cause a large fire means they
do extra damage. Also when used against normal figthers they'll go down in one
hit.

Cannons, well there basically big guns, some of them in this class are pretty
much useless due to the fact they over heat too quickly take forever to reload
and don't really cause that much damage. The only really useful ones here are
Tomahawk Alpha Rail Gun and the Glaive 120mm Cannon (the Glavie is highly
recommened for most missions)

1. If I die and restart from the checkpoint does it save my previous progress?

   Nope. Unfortunately it doesn't so if you die and you want the achievement 
   at the end of the level you will need to start from the start again.
   annoying I know but it’s just how the game runs.

2. If I skip the level do I still get the level complete achievements?
   
   Unfortunately you don't because it gives it you for completing the stage
   not for progressing the story.

3. How do you shoot down the Super Battleship?

   These ones tricky the best way I’ve found is to just pound it from the 
   side with anti warship missiles because flying around taking out the 
   shield gen will probably get you shot down.

4. I kill ellan What do I do?

   forget about her she just gets in the way anyway and it doesn't effect
   the out come of the missions unless you want an S rank

5. After clearing the game what do you keep?

   Everything which is a good thing really.

6. can I use stage select to increase my kill count or get achievements?

   Sorry no all achievements but be obtained in story mode.
