Back before Square merged with Enix, Hisashi Suzuki served as the company's president. Since that time, he's not only gone on to serve as the director over at Sega, but also apparently develop quite a disliking towards his former employer.
Square Enix released their earnings report earlier this week, and unfortunately they're dealing with considerable losses. Following this news, Suzuki decided to publicly bash the company on Twitter, saying that ever since Square merged with Enix things have been going downhill. "The merger was a complete failure. There's no vision for the future."
That's a bit harsh, don't you think? Sure, the Square Enix of today isn't quite the Square of yesteryear, but things change; that's just how the industry works.
Nevertheless, we want to hear from you. Do you think Suzuki's comments were a bit over the top, or did he hit the nail on the head with this one? Let us know in the comments below.
