It's no secret that the PlayStation Network has been battling hacks for quite some time. Last month, another hack was released that published the console's LV0 decryption keys. Sony has finally responded to this hack, and they are not pleased to say the least.
They released a new statement proclaiming that "unauthorized software" is a violation of Sony's terms of service and therefore, users caught running this hack will suffer a pemanent ban from the PSN. Want to avoid the possibility of a permaban?
To avoid permanent termination, consumers must immediately cease using and delete all unauthorized or pirated software from their PlayStation®3 systems.
Sony says that they have opted to go the harsh route in order to maintain a "safe" and "fair" online environment for their PSN users.
Hackers, ye have been warned.
