The Walking Dead The Final Season Demo

The Walking Dead The Final Season Demo Is Available Now on PS4 and Xbox One

Telltale Games has announced that The Walking Dead The Final Season demo is now available on the PS4 and Xbox One. We still have about half a month until the first full episode of The Walking Dead franchise’s final season, which officially releases on August 14, 2018. However, the developer did not mention whether the demo would be arriving on the PC or Nintendo Switch.

The news was announced on the official Telltale Games Twitter account earlier today. It also confirmed several details about the demo. In addition to being playable right now, The Walking Dead The Final Season demo will contain mostly the same scenes from the first 15 minutes footage unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con 2018 a few weeks ago. However, there will be certain additional things that were not explored in the released footage for players to check out in the demo. That also means that the average playthrough for the demo will be a bit longer than 15 minutes.

In the initial 15 minute footage, we managed to see how much has changed in The Walking Dead The Final Season. We see Clementine and an older AJ interacting, but it didn’t state exactly how long it’s been since The Walking Dead A New Frontier. Objectives are now highlighted, and we get our first glimpse at the new over-the-shoulder perspective during gameplay. For the first time ever, we will be able to control Clementine in non-scripted combat situations against Walkers and given different buttons for different actions like B to stun or Y to kill.

Players are also told that their choices determine what AJ will become, which feels a lot like Lee Everett’s role in shaping Clementine in The Walking Dead Season 1. It’s been six years since the first of Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead titles launched, and not many games have introduced a protagonist that players have grown so emotionally attached to. Let’s hope it’ll be a good ending for her and AJ. Meanwhile, check out the first 15 minutes of gameplay below.
