Battlefield 1 Summer Update 2018: Xbox One X 4K Support, Patch Notes, More

DICE isn’t content with resting on their laurels to see out the summer months. The developer has unexpectedly dropped the Battlefield 1 Summer Update 2018, and it not only consists of a handful of really useful gameplay changes, but also Xbox One 4K support, for those who want each bullet looking as beautiful as possible. Let’s take a look, shall we?

Battlefield 1 Summer Update 2018: Main Changes

While the Xbox One 4K support will undoubtedly catch the eye, there’s plenty else going on under the hood to get fans of the series excited before the imminent arrival of Battlefield 5.

Shock Operations mode has been balanced out on three maps. Lupkow Pass, Zeebrugge, and Prise de Tahure has been made slightly easier for Attackers to gain more of a foothold.

You can also no longer grief teammates using mortars and AA guns. That’s one update that’ll stop me from having a virtual heart attack, at least. Good job, DICE.

Finally, in terms of main changes, there’s a whole host of customizable options now available for those who want to tinker with the UI. The HUD, crosshairs, hit indicator, and more can all be adjusted through the in-game menu upon downloading the Summer Update.

The big kahuna this month, though, is undeniably the inclusion of Xbox One X 4K support. 4K resolution and HDR, making the light really pop in the distance, as well as improving texture rendering, is all included in the Summer Update.

Note: This update will only take hold after you’ve fully updated your console.
