Hollow Knight Godmaster out Now for Switch and PC

Hollow Knight may have come out in February 2017 but Team Cherry Games is still supporting it DLC. The developer has just released the fourth free content pack called Hollow Knight Godmaster, which is the game’s “hugest content pack by far.” It is currently out now for the PC, Switch, Mac, and Linux versions.

Hollow Knight Godmaster, according to Team Cherry, will come with more characters, quests, secrets, and “incredible battle to take your place once and for all amongst the gods of Hallownest.” The game is also on sale for $9.89 on Steam and $9.90 on Switch to celebrate this new content pack.

It is not on sale on the PS4 or Xbox One because it is not on those platforms… yet. In a partnership with Skybound Games, Hollow Knight will be coming to Sony and Microsoft’s current consoles some time in spring 2019. The trailer and announcement tweet emphasize a physical release, meaning that it may not hit those platforms digitally right away if at all. The title is already on the Switch but will also be getting a physical cart next year alongside the PS4 and Xbox One versions.

Hollow Knight Godmaster is yet another part Team Cherry’s push for free content. The game blew past its $44,000 stretch goal on Kickstarter, which included “four additional quests.” Godmaster is the fourth and final pack included in that specific stretch goal. Hidden Dreams, Grimm Troupe, and Lifeblood were the three previous expansions and have been slowly trickling out since over the past year.

But Team Cherry is still not done with Hollow Knight. The game also achieved its $56,000 stretch goal, which includes another playable character. The studio stated in their most recent Kickstarter update that the new female character is “deadly and distinct” and they think that we are “going to love her.” However, the team stated that she will remain a secret for the time being.
