While the Fortnite Ghost Portal back bling may at first seem to be an awesome new piece of equipment, capable of shifting the meta in ways that we haven’t seen before, it’s unfortunately just a back bling, providing no gameplay-changing effects. I personally had visions of a player using it and appearing in a random spot on the map (inside the circle). It could have been a super-rare item that gives players a risky choice. However, this is not the case, as the Ghost Portal simply rests on the shoulders of a player, looking cool without actually doing anything.
How to Unlock the Ghost Portal in Fortnite
Unlocking the Fortnite Ghost Portal back bling could be as easy as buying it from the Item Shop. If this does turn out to be the case, players will need to drop a certain number of V-Bucks in order to unlock it. However, with Epic Games recently pushing event items with specific challenge unlocks, it’s possible that the Ghost Portal will be linked to an upcoming event. The word “ghost” could offer a hint at a potential Halloween event.
The Fortnite Ghost Portal back bling was leaked by fnbr.co, which also included the description: “I just got a chill.” This could well be another clue. Time will tell!
