Well, they finally did it. Sony has announced the PlayStation Classic, a mini-console, complete with some of the most legendary titles of the ’90s. But, amid the fervor, you probably have a lot of hurried questions. For one thing, the list of PlayStation Classic games is decidedly up in the air, although there are come certainties: below we’ll take you through where to pre-order the PlayStation Classic, the PlayStation Classic price, release date, and so much more. This is everything we know (and hope to see) from the old kid on the block.
What is the PlayStation Classic?
An all-in-one console package in the similar vein to the NES and SNES Classics, the PlayStation Classic is a smaller version of the original console, released back in 1994. Boasting a system 45% smaller, the mini-console also comes with a HDMI cable, a USB cable, plus two controllers. Crucially, these controllers aren’t the iconic analog Dualshocks which debuted in 1997.
Confirmed PlayStation Classic Games:
There will be 20 PlayStation Classic games loaded in, but only five have been announced. They are as follows:
- Final Fantasy 7
- Jumping Flash
- Ridge Racer Type 4
- Tekken 3
- Wild Arms
More games will be announced in the coming months.
