Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is out today on PC, Xbox One, and PS4, and it’s far more of an RPG than we were expecting. One of the areas that brings the game closer to something like The Witcher 3 are the various romance options in the game. But what Assassin’s Creed Odyssey romance options are there in the game? How do you get them? Do you get anything for romancing other characters? We’ll do our best to answer, without getting too sticky.
What Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Romance Options Are There?
Romance is available with several characters over the course of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. It doesn’t matter if you choose a male or female character, the romance options are the same, which is pretty cool. If a character can be romanced, there will be a heart next to a dialogue option when you talk to them. Choose this option and only this option if you want to get all romantic with them. They will be part of a quest line, and most likely they’ll want you to do something for them before you get to do something to them.
For example, your first potential romantic conquest is Odessa, who you will meet in the ruins of Odysseus’s palace. Keep following her quests and selecting the heart options, even after you rescue her and her father from bandits, and try not to tick her off. Then eventually you can flirt her into bed. Other potential romantic conquests include Auxesia (an older lady whose husband can’t keep up), Lykaon (a healer who needs a good healing), Daphnae (who’ll you need to kill the really tough Kalydonian Boar for), and the best one of them all, Alkibiades (which starts with a goat).
What Do You Get For Romancing Characters?
Unfortunately there aren’t any long-lasting relationships in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, if that’s what you’re looking for. It’s all just a bit of fun. Several of the characters you romance, such as Odessa, can be recruited as strong lieutenants for your ship. Bare minimum, if you rock the kasbah with another character you will receive a trophy/achievement, called Aphrodite’s Embrace trophy, at least.
