Hitman Halloween Content Pack Announced, Available for Free

The Hitman Halloween content pack has been announced by developer IO Interactive. The themed DLC, which will be available for free, invites players to head to Colorado in the 2016 released title. Players have the opportunity to dress Agent 47 up in a spooky scarecrow costume to blend in to the surroundings. New missions and contract modes are also present in the update.

The announcement was made on the official IO Interactive website, complete with a spooky-looking Youtube reveal video. With the title ‘Embrace the Horror’, IO Interactive are going all out for a scary time in Hitman in a new location called the Rusty Wheel Ranch. An all-new mission entitled the ‘Freedom Fighters’ will be available for players, as well as plenty of Escalation Contract and Featured Contracts in Colorado. Hitman gamers can also create their own contracts in Contract Mode, which can be uploaded for the rest of community to try.

“In the spirit of Halloween, we’ve created 10 Featured Contracts that are spooky, creepy or otherwise frightening,” a statement from IO Interactive read. “We had a lot of fun making them and we hope you’ll enjoy playing through them. We created some that are focused on disguises, others tell spooky stories through the briefing and others are plain mayhem – let us know what you think!”

The Hitman Halloween content pack is only available to play for a limited time. The download is expected to be rolled out on Xbox One, PS4, and PC throughout Friday, but all players should have the chance to download it by 6 PM CST. A period of downtime for maintenance will take place between 12 PM and 3 PM CST to cater for the content pack’s addition. Hitman is available to buy on the above platforms now, with its sequel due for release on November 13 on the same platforms.
