The Taiwanese computer manufacturer has announced its new all-in-one desktop, the Asus Zen AiO 27. This will be the new entry to the company’s line of Zen desktop computers and features many upgrades to its predecessors. It is available now from various stores, such as Amazon and NewEgg in the United States. It retails for $1,999.
The Asus Zen AiO 27’s most unique feature is its wireless charger. Its base has a built-in 7.5W Qi wireless charger which can charge various devices. The screen itself features touch capabilities, has 4K resolution, and is 27 inches in size. It also has an Intel 8th Gen Core i7-8700T clocked at 2.4 GHz as its processor. As for its graphics capabilities, the desktop uses a Nvidia GTX 1050 GPU. For its storage, it uses a 2 TB hard drive and 512GB PCIe SSD, totaling its storage capabilities at 2.5 TB. For memory, the computer will have 16 GB available to use.
It also has many different puts. These include:
- A Thunderbolt 3 port
- Three USB 3.1 Type-A plugs
- One USB 2.0 Type-A jack
- An HDMI out and in so it can be used as a normal display. There is also a physical switch to change which HDMI input is being used.
- An ethernet port
- A microSD card reader to expand storage.
The device also has Alexa integration, as well as an IR camera for Windows Hello. Bundled with the all-in-one device is also a wireless keyboard and mouse. Its product page also mentions that the base of the device can be opened up to upgrade storage and memory. Furthermore, the screen can be adjusted for different viewing angles. Additionally, compared to the previous models of the Zen line, the AiO 27 features a much smaller bezel. Asus claims that the viewable screen is 87 percent of the available space on the device.
