Pokemon Go Carnivine – How to Get It

Pokemon Go Carnivine isn’t the easiest Pokemon in the world to find and catch. The Grass-type Gen 4 Pokemon isn’t particularly powerful and has no place in the Pokemon Go meta, but that doesn’t mean players don’t want one. Carnivine’s interesting aesthetic and status as a Pokemon with no evolution make it intriguing, so even if you’re not planning on battling with it, you might still want one just for the sake of having one. Also, with the recent introduction of Battle Leagues, Carnivine could possibly be fractionally viable for those who insist on using it in the Great League. Here’s everything you need to know about how to catch Carnivine in Pokemon Go

Pokemon Go Carnivine – How to Get It

There’s one issue that will prevent many players from getting themselves a Pokemon Go Carnivine: it’s region-exclusive. Like many other Pokemon in Pokemon Go, Carnivine can only be found in certain parts of the world. Specifically, Carnivine can be found in southeast USA and in the Bahamas.

Carnivine launched alongside two other Gen 4 regional exclusives—Pachirisu and Chatot. The former can be found in Canada, Alaska, and Russia, whereas the latter can only be encountered in the southern hemisphere. While this makes catching these Pokemon difficult, it also dramatically increases how valuable they are for trading. A Pachirisu in the USA could easily be worth a powerful pseudo-Legendary.

While these Pokemon, including Pokemon Go Carnivine, can only be found in certain areas of the world, there are occasional events which allow players to catch them elsewhere. For instance, two months ago players were able to hatch certain regional Pokemon from eggs for a limited time. So, even if you can’t catch Carnivine where you live, hang tight and you might get an event during which you can catch it soon!
