Razor monitor

The Razer monitor is here with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time

A Razer monitor has been announced by the company as a display targeted for high-end gamers and esports champions. The brand-new display device is jam-packed with powerful specs and (of course) a copious amount of decorative lights. (It wouldn’t be a Razer product if it couldn’t be used to land a plane in a snowstorm!) The upcoming “Razor Raptor” seems pretty impressive, but it also carries a hefty price tag for all the neat goodies that come along with it.

Let’s get right into the numbers: the Razer Raptor has a 144Hz refresh rate and a 1ms response time. Anything less just wouldn’t do for a gaming monitor aimed at gaming enthusiasts. The monitor isn’t just responsive, it’s also quite pretty. The 27″ non-glare display has a 95% DCI-P3 wide color gamut to provide cinematic quality and the richest black colors you’ve probably ever seen on your desktop. The Razor monitor also aims for a nice middle ground between the minimum standard and 4K with a 2560 x 1440px resolution.

Of course, the Razer monitor also includes its fair share of decorative lights. The base of the monitor has the capability to glow in pretty much whatever color your choose. The monitor can be synced up with Razer Chroma so all of your devices work together to coordinate a cool display. The Raptor isn’t just fast and pretty—it’s also versatile. The input section of the Razer monitor has HDMI 2.0a, DP, USB-C, two USB 3.1, and a headphone jack built in. The display can tilt 90 degrees to allow for easy access to the ports. There won’t be any need to reach behind this gaming monitor!

The Razer Raptor certainly looks cool and the specs seem impressive, but what does it cost? Well, all of these lovely features will run you a cool $699.99 or your regional equivalent. It’s a hefty price, but it’s also a quality product. And goodness me, it’s just so darn pretty. The Razer Raptor should be launching sometime later this year.
