Xbox One keyboard and mouse support Gears 5

Xbox One keyboard and mouse support coming to Gears 5 (and more of your favorite games)

Razer announced its new wireless keyboard and mouse combo built for the Xbox One earlier this week. As part of the marketing campaign for the Razer Turret, the company revealed a full list of games getting Xbox One keyboard and mouse support.

Microsoft added keyboard and mouse support to the Xbox One in a November update. That update saw a number of games being touted with support for the feature, including Fortnite and Warframe. Thanks to new material from Razer, we now know that The Sims 4 and Gears 5 (when it comes out) will support the feature.

Some early reports suggested that PUBG is getting mouse and keyboard support as it was erroneously listed on Razer’s website. PUBG community managers have said otherwise, and the game is no longer listed on Razer’s site.

Gears Tactics was also listed on Razer’s site, but has since been removed. The turn-based strategy game was announced as a PC exclusive at E3 2018. It could be branching out to the Xbox One although Microsoft has yet to confirm that is the case.

Gears 5 seems like an obvious choice, as The Coalition mixed PC and Xbox One players in 2016’s Gears of War 4. The mix was met with some criticism at the time, but The Coalition has continued to state that there is no real skill disparity between control setups. The Sims 4 is another great inclusion for Xbox One keyboard and mouse support, as the game was originally designed for PC.

Here’s the full list of games that will have Xbox One keyboard and mouse support:

  • Bomber Crew
  • Children of Morta
  • DayZ
  • Deep Rock Galactic
  • Fortnite
  • Gears 5
  • Minecraft
  • Minion Masters
  • Moonlighter
  • Roblox
  • Strange Brigade
  • Surviving Mars
  • The Sims 4
  • Vigor
  • War Thunder
  • Warface
  • Warframe
  • WarGroove
  • Warhammer: Vermintide 2
  • X-Morph: Defense

It’s likely that a number of other games are working on keyboard and mouse support as the feature is oft-requested by players. First-person shooter fans clamor for Xbox One keyboard and mouse support in games so don’t be surprised if the likes of Halo Infinite supports the control scheme.
