Crackdown 3 3D ad

Crackdown 3 3D ad is a real-life Pacific City setting

UK retailer Argos has unveiled a Crackdown 3 3D ad in collaboration with Microsoft. The artwork depicts the Pacific City skyline from above and gives the illusion of a 3D image. Along with being able to see the 3D ad, Argos is offering a further incentive to visit the Old Street branch in London:

Argos defines the Crackdown 3 3D ad as “a piece of interactive art to transport fans into the game’s Pacific City.” The artwork itself was created by artists 3D Joe and Max, who are known for creating similar immersive pieces for companies like Google, Disney, Reebok, and Coca-Cola.

Mike Rapson, Xbox Senior Category Manager for Microsoft, commented on the 3D ad:

“We are delighted that our fans can experience the game in such a creative and interactive way. Crackdown 3 encourages players to destroy parts of the city to boost their abilities, so the artwork, which shows a London street falling into Pacific City, really brings this world to life … We hope the illusion will dazzle both gamers and commuters alike, as well as demonstrating the vibrant gaming culture that exists in the UK.”

Peter Wray, Senior Buyer for Argos, said he hoped the installation would lead to more copies being sold:

“We wanted to celebrate the launch of Crackdown 3 in a way that would captivate our customers and allow them to visit the virtual world in real life. We are confident that this experience will transport them into the stunning virtual world and get them even more fired up about grabbing a copy of the game to take home.”

After a troubled development cycle, Crackdown 3 was finally released today, February 15. If you are looking to get to grips with leveling in the game, here’s how you can shoot up the ranks. We can also help you decide which agent to choose.
