How to turn off Ghosts in Trials Rising

Trials Rising is a great game, but it’s not without its quirks. The Trials Rising Ghosts, Golden Nugget, Silver Bullet, and Bronze Baby, are there to challenge you every step (and crash) of the way, but they can grate and distract more often than not. Below, we’ll show you the simple, yet semi-hidden, method so you’ll know how to turn off Ghosts in Trials Rising for future daredevil attempts. Trust me, it’s worth it.

You’ll need to make your way to the Home menu to bust those pesky Ghosts. From there, head to Options and go to Game Options.

Scroll down to, you guessed it, Ghosts Settings. Surprisingly, there isn’t a simple on/off toggle switch to turn off Ghosts in Trials Rising. Instead, you’ll need to dial down both Ghosts Opacity and Ghosts Opacity Distance to 0.

In effect, this will “turn off” Ghosts, but, instead, will just make them transparent to give the illusion of not being able to see them. Heh. Just like a real ghost. It’s not an ideal scenario, but it will allow you to race without your line of sight being occupied by Golden Nugget (or, if you’re really bad, Bronze Baby). You can turn them “on” again at any time by increasing the opacity and opacity distance.

There is no way to turn off the gold, silver, bronze marker overlay at the top right of your screen during a track, though. You’ll still have those accompanying you at all times to let you know through every ramp, rollercoaster, and rib-breaking crash if you’re nearing gold or are flagging behind with bronze. Like it or not, it’s here to stay. At least now you know how to turn off Ghosts in Trials Rising, which is a happy medium.
