The hotly anticipated game The Division 2 is out now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and although it’s only just been released, plenty of players are wondering about The Division 2 endgame content. The Division 2 Specializations | How to unlock
According to The Division 2 official website, there are “several specializations” you can unlock. As of writing, however, there are only three in the game (more on them below). You will unlock all Division 2 specializations in the same way, however.
In order to unlock all specializations in The Division 2, you will need to reach level 30 and complete the main campaign. Once you have achieved both, you will unlock every specialization that The Division 2 has to offer. You will get to use one of the group at any time, meaning you can switch between them all if you fancy a change or require the use of a specialization weapon. You can change between them at the Quartermaster.
The Division 2 Specializations | What are they?
As stated above, there are just three specializations to choose from as of writing, with three more scheduled within Division 2’s first year. These are the Survivalist, Demolitionist, and the Sharpshooter. Each one comes loaded with its own signature weapon, skill tree, and a unique sidearm to boot. Without further ado, here’s what the three current specializations will give you:
Demolitionist
The Demolitionist specialization comes loaded with an M32A1 Multi-shot Grenade Launcher. It packs more than a punch. You’ll fire out multiple grenades that’ll explode and set enemies on fire. The Demolitionist also comes packed with a .357 Magnum Revolver and Fragmentation Grenades.
Sharpshooter
The Sharpshooter specialization’s signature weapon is the powerful TAC-50 C Rifle. This sniper can penetrate a whole bunch of enemies and will stagger those who are heavily armored. You’ll also get a Sharpshooter 93R, which fires in three-shot bursts, and a Flashbang Grenade.
Survivalist
The Survivalist specialization comes equipped with an Explosive Tipped Crossbow, which sounds all kinds of fun. You’ll also get access to a .44 Magnum Revolver with an optical attachment slot waiting to be filled. Incendiary Grenades, too.
As players are getting further and further into The Division 2, they are beginning to have the option to unlock one of three different specializations. Each specialization has different signature weapons and skills, allowing players to do more damage to their enemies by playing off the specific strengths of the specialization. There are three different specializations available to Division Agents once they have reached level 30, they are Survivalist, Demolitionist, and Sharpshooter. The Division 2 Specializations | Which Specialization should I choose?
Demolitionist
The Demolitionist is equipped with a grenade launcher and can cause massive destruction. It’s hard for your enemies to stay organized when they are worried about being blown up. Additionally, the Demolitionist has increased burn resistance and explosive damage, and group members gain 5% damage on all enemies who are out of cover. An artillery turret can also be equipped, which launches artillery shells at a designated location. If you like to cause a lot of mayhem, then the Demolitionist is probably the specialization for you!
Sharpshooter
The Sharpshooter is equipped with exactly what you’d expect, a sniper rifle. This specialization focuses on taking enemies out before they even know what hit them. Additionally, the Sharpshooter has increased headshot damage, reload speed, and weapon stability. They also have increased armor while in cover and allow group members to do increased headshot damage to enemies if they are closer to the target than you. If you’re a more methodical player and don’t like for things to get messy, then the Sharpshooter specialization might be the one for you!
Survivalist
The Survivalist is equipped with a precision crossbow, which allows them to take down even the toughest of enemies in the toughest situations. They are also able to use different traps and status effects. Additionally, the Survivalist has increased protection from enemies, increased healing from teammates, and cooldown reduction in water. Basically, as the name suggests, the Survivalist knows how to survive. This list just touches the surface of all of the different perks and abilities available to the Survivalist.

Ubisoft then purchased the Tom Clancy name outright for use in video games in 2006. By then, games tying into Clancy's movie successes just weren't enough. -
Rainbow Six
Originally based on one of Clancy's novels, the Rainbow Six series encompasses 17 distinct releases across multiple platforms. Each game features tactical first-person shooting and aspires to be a military simulation. This style peaked with a pair of Vegas titles released on Xbox 360. -
Rainbow Six Siege
After spending several years developing a follow-up to Vegas entittled Patriots, Ubisoft went a different way. Rainbow Six Siege is a multiplayer-focused endeavor with Overwatch-style heroes as its operatives. Although it started off on the wrong foot, constant improvements have made it one of the most popular shooters going. -
Ghost Recon
The second set of Clancy tactical shooters, Ghost Recon differentiates itself with its third-person gameplay and its large outdoor environments. There have been fourteen Ghost Recon releases, ranging from the modern day to the near future. Most recently, Ghost Recon took a turn into the open world with Wildlands. -
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
A subsection of Ghost Recon, "GRAW" was one of the standout games around the Xbox 360 launch. Combining the tactics the series is known for with then-futuristic technology made for a great combination. Ubisoft would revisit the idea with a direct sequel and Future Soldier in 2012. -
Splinter Cell
Splinter Cell's Sam Fisher might have been in the running as an Xbox mascot back in the good old days. A stealth action series to rival Metal Gear, Sam's adventures are classics, particularly the original trilogy. The latest in the series was Blacklist in 2013, although there have been hints that Sam might drop in again any day now. -
EndWar
Taking Tom Clancy back to full on tactics, 2008's EndWar promoted itself on its voice-operated commands. You could control the entire game with a headset, although some reviewers found that to be difficult to achieve. A sequel started development but never saw the light of day. There was a free-to-play follow-up planned but it was canceled. -
H.A.W.X.
An arcade flying game taking place in the timeline of Advanced Warfighter, H.A.W.X. is a weird fit in the Tom Clancy timeline. Two games were released in 2009 and 2010, both receiving mixed to positive reviews. A seeming stopgap in the industry while Ace Combat slumbered, this is one name we probably won't be seeing again. -
The Division
The latest Tom Clancy joint, The Division takes the gameplay structure of Destiny and brings it down to Earth. Literally. This loot shooter doesn't quite have the tactical gameplay of past titles bearing Mr. Clancy's name, but it does have the squad controls and the storyline that attempts to match his most engaging works of fiction. Well, it doesn't have great storytelling techniques but at least it has the look and feel of a Clancy game.
