Pokemon Go Shiny Lotad Field Research | Start and end date
The Pokemon Go shiny Lotad field research event will begin on Saturday, March 30 at 11 AM local time. No matter where you are in the world then, the event will take place at 11 AM in the time zone that you live in.
You won’t have long to collect this field research for Professor Willow though. The event will end nine hours later at 8 PM in your local time zone, so you better get cracking as soon as possible.
Pokemon Go Shiny Lotad Field Research | Tasks
As with any limited event, the Pokemon Go shiny Lotad field research tasks can be picked up by trainers at PokeStops. Simply spin the discs at whatever PokeStop you’ve found, and you’ll be given tasks to complete by Professor Willow.
Completing these assignments will reward you with encounters with Lotad. If you’re lucky in your quest to unearth these weather-based tasks, you might even come across a shiny Lotad. There’s also the chance to encounter shiny Castform too. If you’re missing either from your Pokedex, there’s never been a better time to catch one or both of them.
Speaking of Castform, Niantic has also revealed that it will be including a new permanent move in the game. Weather Ball, a move unique for Castform, will be patched into Pokemon Go during the event, and will remain long after it’s finished too.
