The PC Gaming Show, will be returning when E3 2019 hits this June. Hosted by PC Gamer, this show focuses on unrevealed games and PC hardware during the E3 week where consoles usually reign supreme.
This year’s PC Gaming show will take place at the Mayan Theater in Los Angeles on June 10 and will start at 10 AM PST. For those who won’t be able to attend, the show will also be streamed live on YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook. PC Gamer also shared a teaser video.
Since it’s inception in 2015, the PC Gaming show has become one of the most important events at E3 every year for PC players. The show has become the place for both companies supporting the PC platform to show their fans their plans to continue supporting the platform. This often takes shape in the form of both hardware and software announcements. Over 1.9 million viewers watched last year’s iteration of the PC Gaming Show online and featured companies such as 505 Games, Crytek, Double Fine Productions, Klei Entertainment, Sega, Square Enix, and Tripwire Interactive.
This year’s show will be hosted once again by Sean “Day9” Plott and promises to be even bigger in the face of its competition, or lack of it. Sony is skipping the show this year, meaning that there is one less publisher sharing the crowded news cycle. It won’t have a booth or press conference but it remains to be seen if it will have another State of Play instead.
The void left by Sony will create an opportunity for the PC Gaming Show and the companies involved to possibly have a bit more time to shine as Sony’s show usually tends to occupy headlines with its various exclusives and announcements. However, there still a decent amount of companies that will be at the show like Microsoft and Ubisoft.
