mortal kombat 11 noob saibot kollector

Mortal Kombat 11 Noob Saibot, Erron Black, and Kollector detailed gameplay finally shown

It finally happened. At long last, the Mortal Kombat 11 Noob Saibot stream finally showed the first in-game footage of the oft-requested fan favorite. The stream also showed a “new” face, Kollector, a brutal six-armed being that has never been the series so far. Mortal Kombat X‘s Erron Black rounded out the stream with his own gameplay breakdown after being leaked in February (along with basically the whole roster).

The MK11 Noob Saibot stream showed that he once again has his signature clone. His special moves make him a premier “zoner” and hasn’t radically changed from his MK9 appearance. The sickle is new and part of his abridged list of regular combos. He may have a small amount of normal attacks but he specializes in, well, special moves that focus on his shadow clone.

Kollector is a part of a race and new to the game but is an older character in the lore and a worker for Shao Kahn. He would collect tributes for the Kahn, which were like taxes. He wasn’t pinned to one type of gameplay with his zoning, counterzoning, mix-ups, command grab, and more. There is a nearly hidden pair of hands that clutch a backpack that he uses for attacks. Kollector also has a lot of range and is a “kombo beast” according to series co-creator Ed Boon. Given how powerful the developers said he was, it will be interesting to see how he will play out in competitive settings, given how new he is.

Erron Black has only one entry to draw from and fans of his MKX debut might be a little surprised at his new moves. Only a small handful of attacks have returned and the ones that have come back have better, smoother animations. The cowboy was described as a trap character with mix-ups and keeping his opponents at bay. Instead of caltrops, he can throw a jar or Reptiles’s acid that damages the enemy. His rifle is back, but he can walk forward while aiming and bludgeon the opponent or shoot. The rifle also holds eight shots and has to be reloaded one bullet at a time, which is new.

The roster has been getting rapidly filled in throughout the last few months, which makes sense given how the game is only a few weeks away. Cetrion, the brand-new fighter, was revealed earlier this week and will also have her own detailed video next week. Jax, Liu Kang, and Kung Lao had their triple-stacked stream last week as well.
