PlayStation Store To Return May 24th

Despite the PlayStation Network being back up and running, Sony's digital download storefront, the PlayStation Store, has yet to make a return. Sure it sucks for users wanting to download games, demos and DLC. But more importantly, it's hurting developer's bottom line, as they're unable to offer their products to consumers through Sony's catalog.

To ease the growing frustrations that Sony's partners may be feeling, Sony has sent out a memo detailing plans to restore the PlayStation Store. Of course, like all things that are to be kept private, the memo was leaked.

The PlayStation Store is planned to make its return on May 24th. Starting on that date, which is a Tuesday, the PlayStation Store will update twice per week for two weeks. This should allow the PlayStation Store and consumers to get up on content they may have missed over the past 4 weeks of down time.

Since the PlayStation Network first went down, the PlayStation Store hasn't updated, missing a number of games including: Outland, Under Siege, Gatling Gears, and many more, most of which have already been made available on Xbox LIVE.
