This is just one of the 100 Fortbytes that will be releasing over the course of Fortnite Season 9. Some are rather easy and some can be quite difficult. Thankfully, Fortbyte 78 is one of the easiest ones to find and shouldn’t take long at all! So, where is the Ranger Tower overlooking drained lake location?

Fortbyte 78 can be found within a Ranger Tower overlooking a drained lake. The key phrase here is overlooking drained lake, which should lead players to Loot Lake. At the launch of Season 9, Loot Lake got a futuristic makeover, draining most of the water from the lake and adding in things like Slipstreams and a mysterious black tube running through old wetland.
So, now that the main location has been determined, where is the Ranger Tower location? You’re going to want to head to the small dock boat house which is on the north-east edge of Loot Lake. Once you get there, you should see a tall wooden tower to your left, if you’re facing the boathouse. This is the Ranger Tower.

Head towards the tower and begin climbing up to the top. Once you’ve reached the top, you will see Fortbyte 78 sitting there waiting to be picked up. There are no gimmicks or tricks, so you’ll be able to search it instantly and add it to your collection.
