Konami has finally revealed the TurboGrafx-16 Mini release date and games list. The retro console arrives March 19, 2020, and will come with 50 titles from the original console’s library.
While the TurboGrafx-16 mini won’t come out until next year, preorders for it will begin on July 15, 2019, known to many online shoppers as the start of Amazon Prime Day. Konami has confirmed that the retro console will be available exclusively through Amazon.

Interestingly enough, the games list does include a number of games with both Japanese and English releases. Some may find this redundant, however it does give fans a chance to see how certain games were changed during the localization process.
The move does seem to line up with how Konami has been treating its recent retro releases. The Western release of the Castlevania Anniversary Collection on PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch also received a patch that gave players access to the Japanese versions of the games.
Additionally, one Japanese PC Engine game will not be making it west. Dating sim Tokimeki Memorial will come only with the Japanese PC Engine Mini, the TurboGrafx-16 Mini (and PC Engine CoreGrafx Mini in Europe) will get Salamander instead.
Finally, a number of accessories have been lined up for the TurboGrafx-16 mini. Konami is also selling a Multi Tap adapter and extra controllers that’ll allow up to five players to be hooked up to the system.
