There’s been some confusion as to whether there is Remnant: From the Ashes cross-play support. Gunfire Games’ newest game has multiplayer modes, but players are wondering if they can jump into the action with others on other platforms. The title is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, so there’s a possibility that cross-platform play could be a thing. If you want a definite answer on this cross-play in Remnant: From the Ashes query, look no further than this guide. We’ll tell you if it’s present and, if not, whether it could be.
Remnant: From the Ashes Cross-Play | Cross-platform functionality
Let’s not waste on time in telling you whether there is Remnant: From the Ashes cross-play functionality. Unfortunately, cross-platform support is not a feature that is available at launch. Gunfire Games have stated as much in an FAQ page on the game’s official site. If you were hoping to be able to play with other gamers on different platforms, you’ll be fresh out of luck.

That doesn’t mean that cross-play support won’t ever make its way to Remnant: From the Ashes, though. In an interview published a day after the game launched, members of the Gunfire Games development team revealed that they’d love to bring this feature to their title.
When asked if cross-platform functionality was something that the team would consider post-launch, Gunfire Games stated that it was “something that we would love to do,” but hadn’t actively looked into it yet. The team explained that they had been focusing on the base game, but now that it’s out, cross-play could be implemented in the future.
This is backed up on the FAQ page, too. The developers at Gunfire Games revealed that, post-launch, they might look into cross-platform support, so there’s always a chance it’ll come in an update down the line. If it does, we’ll be the first to let you know.
