The Pokemon Go Ultra Bonus week 1 rewards are here. Give yourself a pat on the back if you helped the community complete all three parts of the Global Challenge to unlock these gifts. Not only are there week 1 prizes, but there’s also week 2 and 3 rewards that are to come over the next few weeks. To get a full rundown on the 2019 rewards list, you’ll need to check out this Pokemon Go Ultra Bonus week 1 guide. There’s plenty to be excited about, so let’s get down to it.
Pokemon Go Ultra Bonus Week 1 | Johto Journey
The first reward is called Johto Journey, and it will kick off on Monday, September 2, at 1 PM PT, 4 PM ET, and 9 PM BST. Trainers will be able to take a trip down memory lane and fill any missing entries in their Johto Pokedex. If you’ve already filled your boots there, however, there are a couple of other gifts waiting for you.
ALSO: Pokemon Go Gen 5 release date | Unova Pokemon update time
Eggs could spawn critters who have never shown up in them before, such as specific Unown Pokemon. These could hatch from any 10km Eggs you have, but be aware that only U, L, T, R, and A variants could crop up. Get it? Because it spells ultra? Nevermind.
The three Legendary dogs Entei, Suicune, and Raikou return to Raids, and you could come across Shiny variants of Gligar and Sentret. Finally, incubator effectiveness will be double what it normally is. The Johto Journey event ends on September 9 at the same time it started, so ensure you’ve taken part before it makes way for week 2.
Pokemon Go Ultra Bonus Week 1 | Global Hatches week 2 event
Next up on the docket is the Global Challenge, Global Hatches event in week 2. This will start on Monday, September 9 at 1 PM PT, 4 PM ET, and 9 PM BST. It’ll also run for a week, so it’ll end on September 16 at the same time it began.
In terms of what prizes are on offer for you, all Deoxys forms will make their first appearance outside of EX Raids. If you’re missing any variant from your Pokedex, now is the time to play catch up and get them added to your roster.
Farfetch’d, Kangaskhan, Mr. Mime, and Tauros will be available to gain from 7km Eggs, and you might even get lucky and find a Shiny one. It’ll be possible to get these Pokemon from 7km Eggs right up until September 23 too so, even though the Global Hatches event will end a week before then, you can still try and get Shiny forms. Incubator effectiveness will be doubled as well, just like the Johto Journey event.
Pokemon Go Ultra Bonus Week 1 | Unova unveiling week 3 event
The final special event will see Unova Pokemon turn up in Pokemon Go. These Gen 5 critters have been a long time coming, but you’ll be able to catch them at last when the event kicks off on Monday, September 16 at 1 PM PT, 4 PM ET, and 9 PM BST.
You might come across Shiny Lillipup or Shiny Patrat if you’re lucky. Klink, the gear Pokemon, will show up in Raids and may even by a Shiny form if your luck is in.
Mewtwo will return to five-star Raids and, if you manage to snag them this time, Mewtwo will have a special move known as Psystrike. Even better, you could come across a Shiny Mewtwo with Psystrike, which would be something worth bragging about to your friends.
Incubator effectiveness is doubled for the final week here too, so make good use of it. The Unova unveiling events ends on September 23 at the same time it started, so make the most of it.
Pokemon Go Ultra Bonus Week 1 | Jirachi special research
Finally, Jirachi is now available via special research. We have a separate guide on how to conduct these tasks, and, if you complete them, encounter Jirachi yourself. If you’re already got Jirachi by now, you can complete this new special research to earn candy for your versions too.
