Modern Warfare Captain Price figure pre-order available

McFarlane Toys announced an exclusive Captain Price figure based on the famous Call of Duty character’s appearance from the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The Modern Warfare Captain Price figure pre-order is available now as part of the McFarlane Collectible action figure line.

The Captain Price figure features the British Special Forces soldier’s signature hat and military attire, modeled from in-game scans of the character. The seven-inch figure is comprised of 22 moving parts and comes with an assault rifle accessory and Call of Duty-branded display stand. The figure also includes a code for downloadable in-game content, though what exactly this will be is yet to be announced.

The Modern Warfare Captain Price figure is available for pre-order exclusively through Amazon and will be released sometime during October 2019. The figure’s MSRP is listed at $21.99, but its current Amazon price is $19.99. Price is one of three McFarlane Call of Duty figures revealed so far for 2019. The others include Dr. Edward Richtofen from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Zombies mode and Frank Woods from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout battle royale mode. A fourth figure, possibly from Modern Warfare, as well, will be revealed at a later date.

Captain John Price originally appeared in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in 2007. Price’s iconic hat, beard, accent, and smoking habits immediately made him one of the most recognizable and beloved characters in the series. It makes sense, then, that Activision and Infinity Ward decided to feature him in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare reveal. Price previously hadn’t appeared in a Call of Duty campaign since Modern Warfare 3 in 2011. Although the reboot’s story campaign is said to be “provocative” and “edgy,” Infinity Ward has said Modern Warfare isn’t political. While it does address topics “that bear a resemblance” to issues in modern geopolitics, Infinity Ward said, it doesn’t address specific administrations or governments, instead discussing general themes.
