Pro-DRM Xbox One Petition Is Most Active On Change.Org

Over 12,000 people have signed the online petition to bring Microsoft back to the always-online Xbox One gamers were shown before E3 2013.

Change.org says that the petition is the most active list on their site with 4% of people visiting Change.org explicitly to look at and sign the petition, which was started by David Fontenot with this mission statement:

This was to be the future of entertainment. A new wave of gaming where you could buy games digitally, then trade, share or sell those digital licenses. Essentially, it was Steam for Xbox. But consumers were uninformed, and railed against it, and it was taken away because Sony took advantage of consumers uncertainty. We want this back. It can't be all or nothing, there must be a compromise.

Have you signed the petition? Is 12,000 gamers a lot of people considering the millions of consumers in the market for Xbox One? How are Internet petitions a thing?
