Fairy Tail RPG

Fairy Tail RPG brings a magical manga to PC, PS4, and Switch in 2020

Fans of wizard battles rejoice! A Fairy Tail RPG has been announced, finally bringing Hiro Mashima’s popular manga to PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch next year! While there have been quite a few Fairy Tail games in the past, most of them were either for the PlayStation Portable, mobile devices, or web browsers; this is the first time that this manga is coming to the big boy gaming systems!

If you’re not familiar with Fairy Tail, you’ve missed out. This manga is all about the adventures of Natsu Dragneel, Lucy Heartfilia, and the other members of the Fairy Tail guild of magicians. The land of Fiore is filled with dark creatures, dragons, and worst of all, cats. You’ll now be able to recreate some of the series’ most iconic battles when this Fairy Tail RPG comes to the PC via Steam, PS4, and Nintendo Switch sometime in 2020.

Koei Tecmo is handling the publishing for this particular game and GUST Studios will be the folks developing it. Previous titles from GUST Studios include Nights of Azure and like 50 games in the Atelier franchise; suffice it to say, they know their stuff when it comes to JRPGs.

Unfortunately, there isn’t much more in the way of details on the Fairy Tail RPG, but it’s not all bad news! Koei Tecmo says they’ll have more details to announce at this year’s Tokyo Game Show 2019. This particular manga went on for more than 500 chapters, so it will be interesting to see just how much of the story this game will be covering.

This isn’t just the first time that a Fairy Tail game is coming to the West — it also marks the debut of this franchise on the world’s major gaming consoles! You’ll be able to get your hands on the Fairy Tail RPG when it launches for PC via Steam, PS4, and Nintendo Switch sometime in 2020. In the meantime, you can see some of the awesome anime action from this upcoming game in the Teaser Trailer below.
