The Coalition Studio explained on Twitter that the new release has run into several scalability issues since launch. This pesky XP not working bug appears to be one of a few issues that has been plaguing the game. Many of you have taken to places such as the Gears 5 forums to air your frustrations. Is There a Gears 5 XP Not Working Bug Fix?
If you have been getting frustrated that you are not receiving XP when you should in multiplayer, you’ll be glad to know that The Coalition Studio is very much aware of the situation. The developers took to Twitter to explain that “the progression and stats issue is now resolved.” You should, therefore, be able to progress normally in Gears 5 multiplayer.
Unfortunately, some of you have been encountering the same XP issues since the tweet linked to above went live. Unfortunately, the only thing we can suggest is that you wait for the bug to be properly resolved by the developers. The Coalition Studio is active on Twitter with reports of fixes and such. Hopefully, the issue is resolved sooner rather than later.
