Apex Legends Season 3 | Release date, new Legend Crypto, Battle Pass, and more

The next season of Apex Legends is just around the corner, and it’s bringing tons of new stuff to the battle pass, along new weapon, and even a new Legend named Crypto. After a slow launch, Respawn is really starting to pick things up with Apex Legends Season 3. Below is everything that you need to know about the release date, new Crypto Legend, Battle Pass, and more.

Apex Legends Season 3 | Release Date, Battle Pass, and the Charge Rifle

The third season of Apex Legends is about to be in full swing, and is set to release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on October 1, 2019. The phrase surrounding Season 3 is “Meltdown” which Respawn hasn’t clearly explained yet. However, the developer is promising to reveal more information on what “Meltdown” is before the season officially begins and whatever the “Meltdown” is, it seems that it’s going to be a pretty big deal throughout the season.

As you might expect, there will be a brand new battle pass releasing with Season 3 of Apex Legends. Per usual, the battle pass will contain Legendary skins, Apex Packs, and tons of other rewards. Additionally, Respawn is promising that this battle pass will have brand new content that hasn’t been in any of the previous seasons.

There will also be a new weapon joining the armory in Apex Legends Season 3, called the Charge Rifle. This is a energy weapon that is designed to obliterate opponents, according to Respawn. Unfortunately, for now, this is all we know about the new Charge Rifle weapon.

Apex Legends Season 3 | New Legend Crypto

As usual, there will be a new Legend joining the lineup in Apex Legends Season 3. We don’t know too much about Crypto yet, as Respawn hasn’t revealed much information. However, his bio on the official Apex Legends website reads that, “Cool, calm, and collected Crypto deploys specialized surveillance drones to stay in the fight and out of the spotlight.”

Players can also learn a little bit more by watching the new “Stories from the Outlands” video, which features Crypto and his partner. Based on the video, it appears that his partner was kidnapped and he was framed for something that he didn’t do. You can see the “Forever Family” episode in the video above. Unfortunately, for now, this is all we know about Season 3. However, more information will undoubtedly be released in the upcoming days.
