Unlike Remote Play, which Sony has said will work for virtually the entire PlayStation 4 game library, the use of the Vita as a PS4 controller will be a bit more limited.
When asked by a follower about such functionality on Twitter, Shuhei Yoshida explained that the ability to use the Vita as a PS4 controller will vary by game.

In all honesty, I can't imagine why a PlayStation gamer would want to use the Vita over the DualShock 4 in the first place. If you're going to be sitting in front of your TV, you might as well grab the more comfortable control option.
